Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Internal Control Officer to strengthen our financial and operational systems. The role involves monitoring compliance, evaluating risks, and enhancing internal control frameworks to promote efficiency, accountability, and transparency. The successful candidate will play a key role in safeguarding the company’s assets, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting sound risk governance.
Responsibilities

Perform and manage audit cycles covering risk management, financial reliability, and compliance with regulations.

Develop and execute annual internal audit plans.

Review and approve transactions in line with company policies.

Analyze financial records, reports, and data flow to assess compliance and effectiveness of controls.

Prepare detailed audit reports and track implementation of corrective actions.

Identify risks, control gaps, and recommend cost-saving measures.

Provide independent advice to management on operational and financial integrity.

Deliver timely reporting on control deficiencies and follow up with action plans.

Collaborate with departments to implement remediation efforts and strengthen internal controls.

Conduct investigations into fraudulent activities and recommend preventive measures.
Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree / HND in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.

4–5 years’ proven experience in internal control, auditing, or risk management.

Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

High level of integrity, objectivity, and attention to detail.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with accounting software is an advantage.
