Job Summary
- The IT Officer will be responsible for maintaining the hospital’s IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth network operations, and providing technical support to staff.
- The role requires a hands-on professional who can troubleshoot, secure, and enhance IT systems to support the hospital’s operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, networks, and servers.
- Monitor and maintain hospital IT systems to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Provide first-line support and resolve technical issues for end-users.
- Ensure data protection, backup, and recovery systems are in place.
- Manage hospital IT assets and ensure proper documentation.
- Assist in the implementation of new technologies and system upgrades.
- Collaborate with vendors and service providers to maintain and improve IT infrastructure.
- Train staff on the use of IT systems, applications, and security best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ proven experience as an IT Officer, System Administrator, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of hardware, networking, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Hands-on experience with IT security, data backup, and recovery solutions.
- Familiarity with hospital management systems (added advantage).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
