Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Security Specialist to join a foremost ICT company and protect the r organization from cyber threats.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining robust security measures, monitoring for threats, and responding to incidents.
This role bridges IT security and cybersecurity, ensuring the protection of our digital infrastructure and data assets.

Key Responsibilities
Security Monitoring and Threat Management:

Monitor systems and networks for unusual activity and potential security breaches.
Respond to incidents promptly and perform root cause analyses.
Utilize security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and endpoint protection solutions.

Implementation and Maintenance:

Configure and maintain security systems, including firewalls, VPNs, and antivirus software.
Regularly update software and patch systems to address vulnerabilities.
Ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and best practices.

Cybersecurity Measures:

Identify and mitigate risks associated with malware, ransomware, phishing, and other cyber threats.
Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to uncover security weaknesses.
Implement security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls.

Policy and Compliance:

Develop, review, and enforce IT security policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, such as GDPR, PCI-DSS, or HIPAA.
Prepare and present security reports for audits and management reviews.

Training and Awareness:

Conduct security awareness training for employees to prevent insider threats and phishing attacks.
Create educational materials to promote a culture of cybersecurity.

Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with IT teams to secure applications, networks, and servers.
Liaise with external vendors and consultants to assess and integrate new security technologies.

Key Requirements
Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
2–4 years of experience in IT security or a related cybersecurity role.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency with security tools like firewalls, SIEM systems (e.g., Splunk, QRadar), and IDS/IPS.
Experience in endpoint protection and encryption tools.
Familiarity with cloud security (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux) and network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS).
Familiarity with Office 365

Certifications (Preferred):

CompTIA Security+
Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC)

Soft Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
