Job Summary
- We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Mid Level Civil Engineer to join our mining project team during the development and setup of our processing plant.
- This role offers the opportunity to work hands-on in plant construction, site infrastructure, and project execution.
- The ideal candidate will have experience in construction projects, site supervision, and engineering design in an industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning, design, and execution of civil engineering works for the processing plant, including foundations, structural supports, roadworks, and drainage systems.
- Assist with site layout design and preparation of detailed construction drawings.
- Supervise contractors and site activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety protocols.
- Monitor project progress, identify deviations, and report findings to senior engineering staff.
- Conduct on-site inspections and prepare technical reports and documentation.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, Survey and environmental teams, to ensure project integration.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant codes, regulations, and best practices in construction and mining environments.
- Participate in risk assessments and support the implementation of safety measures.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in construction or site engineering roles, preferably in mining, heavy industry, or similar project-based environments.
- Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of Nigerian building codes and construction standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and team collaboration abilities.
- Willingness to work on remote project sites under varying weather conditions.
- Must be available for immediate resumption and open to relocation.
