Job Title: Junior Copywriter
Compensation: $26.67–28.21

Job Purpose:
The Junior Copywriter supports the development of clear, compelling written content across all marketing channels. Reporting to the Copywriting Manager, this role will help scale content development efforts by producing copy that supports enrollment campaigns, digital advertising, social media, email, and web content for the System and its institutions.
This role is ideal for a strong writer who is eager to learn, adaptable to multiple brand voices, and capable of managing multiple projects at once. The Junior Copywriter will collaborate closely with designers, content creators, and marketing partners to ensure message clarity, consistency, and accuracy.
Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Draft and edit copy for campaigns, digital ads, emails, social media posts, landing pages, and more
- Adapt messaging from creative briefs and brand voice guides into concise, platform-appropriate content
- Collaborate with the Copywriting Manager to refine and revise content based on feedback and brand tone
- Support content calendar execution and campaign rollout timelines
- Contribute to QA, formatting, and proofreading efforts to ensure high standards of clarity and accuracy
- Participate in brainstorms and team creative reviews
Required Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of professional writing or content development experience (internship or agency experience acceptable)
- Strong grasp of grammar, punctuation, and AP Style
- Experience writing for digital channels, particularly email, web, and social
- Ability to manage multiple projects, respond to feedback, and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with higher education, nonprofit, or mission-driven writing is a plus
- Portfolio or writing samples required
