Job Responsibilities:
  • Preparation and drafting of various legal opinions, drafts, and other relevant legal material and reports with minimal supervision.
  • Attend client meetings, including BOD and general meetings of companies.
  • Maintain active membership in bar associations and the ability to deal with regulators and public authorities.
  • Provide mentorship and supervisory responsibilities to junior associates and work as a team with other senior associates.
  • Generate required reports in preparation for client meetings and arrange for the execution of documents as may be required.
  • Conducting a regular legal compliance audit on companies and rendering returns with the Corporate Affairs Commission, Securities and Exchange Commission amongst others, as may be required from time to time.
  • Assistance with the review and negotiation of commercial contracts.
  • Provide support to Partner, to conduct meetings, negotiations and discussions on legal transactions and disputes.
  • Conduct with appreciable skill, required legal research, and gather information that is relevant to client instructions.
  • Attend legal proceedings, including court and ADR proceedings.
  • Fulfill other responsibilities as delegated or assigned by the Managing Partner/Partners.

Requirements:
  • Qualification: LL.B (LLM desirable, not mandatory)
  • A minimum of 7 years post-call experience with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, tech savvy, an eye for details, and great leadership qualities.
  • Thorough knowledge and practical experience of procedural law and substantive law.
  • Preferably a male for gender balance.

Salary
Negotiable.
