POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Legal Officer at SSSL, will be responsible for supporting the legal function across the organization, ensuring compliance with real estate, corporate and technology-related laws, and protecting the company’s interest in all business dealings.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (Duties):
- Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents including lease agreements, service contracts, vendor agreements, software licenses, NDAs, and MoUs.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with real estate laws, data privacy regulations, intellectual property rights, and other relevant statutory requirements.
- Real Estate Due Diligence: Conduct legal due diligence on property transactions, including title verification, land use, encumbrances, and ownership structures.
- Litigation & Dispute Resolution: Coordinate with external counsel on litigation matters. Manage legal notices, property disputes, and arbitration proceedings when necessary.
- Corporate Governance: Assist in company secretarial tasks, board meeting documentation, and maintaining statutory registers and filings.
- Legal Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential legal risks related to business operations, customer transactions, and partnerships.
- Stakeholder Support: Provide legal advisory support to cross-functional teams such as Sales, Operations, Product, and Tech.
- Policy Development: Assist in drafting and updating internal legal policies, SOPs, and compliance manuals.

- Strong knowledge of real estate laws, commercial contracts, and technology-related legal frameworks.
- Excellent drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
Academic Qualification (Minimum):
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL. B); Master’s or post-graduate diploma in Business or Property Law is a plus.
- 3–5 years of post-qualification legal experience, preferably in real estate, Property-Tech, or
corporate commercial law.
