Job Summary
- The Logistics Officer ensures smooth coordination and execution of the company’s delivery operations.
- The role focuses on maintaining efficient rider performance, ensuring operational compliance, and optimizing delivery timelines through effective use of logistics systems and communication channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily dispatch operations to ensure prompt and accurate deliveries.
- Monitor riders’ performance and movements via the logistics management system.
- Enforce compliance with company delivery standards, safety protocols, and operational policies.
- Act as a communication link between riders, customers, and management to resolve delivery-related issues.
- Track and document delivery data, rider attendance, and performance metrics for reporting purposes.
- Oversee and manage in-house hire purchase riders, ensuring they remit weekly payments promptly.
- Support in route planning and rider scheduling to achieve maximum efficiency.
- Assist in onboarding and training new riders on operational standards.
- Oversee proper use and maintenance of delivery assets such as motorcycles, devices, and uniforms.
- Provide daily performance updates and operational improvement recommendations to management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in logistics, delivery coordination, or fleet management.
- Working knowledge of logistics tracking tools and delivery management systems.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proven ability to supervise field teams and handle operational challenges calmly.
- Good reporting and documentation skills.
