Apple & Pears Limited was incorporated in the year 2012 as an Agro Allied & Food Industry to produce soya meal, concentrate and finished feed for the poultry industry, and refined edible oil, mayonnaise, ketchup, salad cream, vinegar, custard powder and Chocolate Drink for the Nigerian market.
The company has invested millions of dollars in land, building, construction of infrastructural facilities and machinery, with one goal in mind, and that is to have an integrated facility encompassing the complete value chain of the soya bean business, from sourcing, processing, extraction, refining, packaging and distribution of a wide range of premium products. Job Summary
- We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in the FMCG or manufacturing industry.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining mechanical systems and equipment, ensuring smooth factory operations, and supporting inventory management in collaboration with the store and procurement teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair mechanical parts, including gearboxes and conveying systems.
- Collaborate with the store managers and procurement department to track and manage spare parts inventory.
- Fabricate and maintain local parts where necessary to minimize downtime.
- Read, interpret, and produce 2D engineering drawings.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards and procedures.
- Support production teams in minimizing equipment downtime and maximizing efficiency.
Qualifications and Requirements
- B.Eng or HND in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in the FMCG or manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in 2D drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD).
- Hands-on experience with gearboxes, conveyors, pumps, and rotating equipment.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Must reside in or be willing to relocate close to Sagamu for proximity to the factory.
- Must be available to resume before the end of October 2025.
Salary
N200,000 – N250,000 per month.
