St. Dominic Catholic Hospital is a 64-bed hospital located in Ogungbade off New Ife road in Ibadan. St. Dominic Catholic Hospital is the vision of the Dominican Sisters of St. Catherine of Siena (Italy). We offer various medical services such as: General medicine, internal medicine, O & G, Laboratory, and Radiology, to mention just a few. The hospital is run in collaboration with foreign partners. We are registered and licensed by the Corporate Affairs Commission and the Ministry of Health. Also, we are accredited by the NHIS as both primary and secondary health care providers.
Job Summary
- The Medical Doctor is responsible for providing high-quality patient care, diagnosing and treating medical conditions, and promoting health and wellness.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care:
- Conduct medical examinations and diagnose patients.
- Develop and implement treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications and therapies.
Medical History:
- Take medical histories and update patient records.
Diagnostic Testing:
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., lab, imaging).
Treatment and Management:
- Manage chronic conditions (e.g., diabetes, hypertension).
- Provide preventive care (e.g., vaccinations, screenings).
Communication:
- Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Educate patients on healthy habits and disease management.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals (e.g., nurses, specialists).
Continuing Education:
- Stay updated on medical advancements and best practices.
Requirements
- Interested candidates should possess a B.Sc Degree in Medicine with 2 – 5 years work experience.
- Medical licensure.
- Post NYSC experience
- Strong clinical and communication skills.
- Should be resident in Ibadan.
Salary
N370,000 – N400,000 monthly.
