Role Summary
- The Partnership and Community Intern will support the development and nurturing of strategic relationships with healthcare institutions, corporate partners, training collaborators, alumni, and other ecosystem stakeholders.
- The intern will also play a critical role in growing and managing HBA’s online and offline communities – including WhatsApp groups, alumni clusters, and partner organizations.
Key Responsibilities
Partnership Development Support:
- Assist with identifying and researching potential partners, collaborators, and sponsors (local and international).
- Draft partnership proposals, pitch decks, meeting notes, and follow-up emails.
- Support the preparation and coordination of partnership meetings, MoUs, and check-ins.
- Help maintain the HBA Partnership Tracker and CRM database to ensure up-to-date records.
Community Engagement & Management:
- Help manage and grow the HBA WhatsApp groups, alumni communities, and campus ambassadors.
- Contribute to content development, engagement prompts, and spotlight stories within the community.
- Respond to inquiries, resolve minor issues, and support an inclusive, professional, and vibrant environment across platforms.
- Organize virtual and in-person community events (webinars, meetups, spotlights, mixers, etc.).
Communication & Branding:
- Assist in preparing social media content, newsletters, and partner updates related to collaborations and community news.
- Draft goodwill messages, press releases, or congratulatory notes for HBA partners and events.
Data, Reporting & Insights:
- Help collect and analyze community engagement metrics and partner feedback to inform strategies.
- Provide weekly reports on tasks, partnerships in view, and community highlights.
Requirements
- Recent graduate, NYSC member, or early career professional with a background in Communications, Marketing, Public Health, Business, or related fields.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (professional tone, clarity, and creativity).
- Comfortable working with Google Suite, Canva, Excel, Zoom, and social media tools.
- Prior experience managing communities or organizing events is a plus.
- A proactive, teachable, and growth-oriented attitude.
