Role Summary:
- As a Pharmacist at eDokita, you will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing drug information to healthcare professionals and patients, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring that prescriptions are filled correctly and in a timely manner.
- Provide drug information and counseling to patients regarding medication use, dosage instructions, potential side effects, and drug interactions.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to review medication orders, resolve medication-related problems, and optimize patient therapy
- Monitor medication inventory levels, order medications and supplies as needed, and maintain proper storage conditions.
- Conduct medication reconciliation and review patient medication profiles to identify and prevent medication errors and adverse drug reactions.
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws, regulations, and standards of practice, including medication safety protocols and record-keeping requirements.
- Ability to review medications (regards use, interactions, side effects, new warnings etc) and provide report.
- Ability to compound medications (training available if not experienced).
- Research and provide reports with recommendations on various medicinal or potential medicinal agents outside of the regular ‘approved’ agents and medications.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy from a recognized institution.
- 2–7 years of experience.
- Valid license to practice as a pharmacist in Nigeria.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceuticals, drug interactions, and medication therapy management.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in pharmacy software and computerized prescription systems.
Tentative Work Hours:
- Morning shift 8am – 5pm.
- Afternoon shift: 2pm – 10pm/ 5pm – 1am.
- Night shift:10pm-4am.
