Job Purpose
- To supervise day-to-day poultry processing operations, ensuring efficient workflow, quality output, compliance with food safety regulations, and achievement of production targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily chicken processing activities including slaughtering, evisceration, chilling, portioning, and packaging.
- Ensure staff follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety, and hygiene guidelines.
- Monitor shift operations and ensure timely completion of production targets.
- Supervise production line staff, including casual workers.
- Report production data, line performance, and daily output to management.
- Identify issues and liaise with maintenance, logistics, or quality teams as needed.
- Ensure proper handling of raw materials and finished products.
- Maintain production documentation and compliance logs.
Qualifications & Experience
- OND. in Animal Science, Food Technology, Agricultural Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in poultry or meat processing environment.
- Familiarity with HACCP, GMP, and other food safety standards.
- Hands-on supervisory experience in a production or factory environment.
Skills & Competencies:
- Team leadership and staff supervision.
- Strong communication and time management.
- Attention to detail and operational discipline.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-output environment.
