Job Summary:
  • The PM / PMO Analyst is responsible for the planning, control and execution of projects to meet identified business needs and deliver business value, acquiring and utilizing the necessary resources and skills, within agreed parameters of cost, timescales and quality.
  • The successful candidate will be able to independently evaluate key business issues, initiate and carry through on technical solutions.
  • The role offers an exciting opportunity to drive quality Information and Digital Technology (IDT) products delivery in support of business objectives across the value chain of an Oil & Gas company.
  • This role will help to deliver value, sustain the reliable and secure operation goals of the IDT Organization as well as make positive impact on the company’s ‘Must-Wins’.

Job Description:
  • Accountable for the definition, documentation and safe execution of small to medium scale projects, actively participating in all phases of the project. Identifies, assesses and manages risks to the success of the project.
  • Accountable for delivery of assigned IDT project milestones in accordance with the highest professional standards and in line with project delivery standards
  • Must be able to independently evaluate key business/commercial issues and initiate and carry through on technical solutions
  • Create innovative solutions by leveraging both technical knowledge and an understanding of the business/commercial needs of the business
  • Accountable for maintaining effective engagement with IDT and Business stakeholders and customers to achieve a high level of support and customer satisfaction for assigned projects
  • Defines and tracks project milestones while developing, maintaining, and reporting on an overall integrated delivery plan and tool
  • Monitors and controls team performance against plans. Maintain effective financial and project progress forecasting, and reports as appropriate to stakeholders on the reporting tool.
  • Ensures that projects are formally closed and where appropriate, subsequently reviewed and that lessons learnt are captured and appropriate actions taken.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Computer Science Degree, Applied Science or Engineering equivalent
  • Experience in IDT Planning, Business Analysis and/or Project Management (5+ years)
  • Experience in Budgeting, Contracting and Requisition to Pay (RtP)
  • Good understanding and practice of Waterfall and Agile methodologies
  • Understanding of Exploration and Production business
  • Ability to manage relations with peers and business stakeholders effectively in various lines of business
  • Good organisational, communication and interpersonal skills as well as understanding of the significance of commercial constraints
  • Ability to bring the benefits of IDT to solve business issues while also managing costs and risks
  • A PMI and/or IIBA certification (PMI-PBA/PMP/CCBA/CBAP) will be an added advantage
