About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Support Officer to join our Process Automation delivery team in Sub-Saharan Africa. Based in Nigeria, this role is central to ensuring seamless project execution via SAP and other business systems, supporting project managers, finance, supply chain, and engineering teams to deliver world-class solutions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end SAP project flow: setup, lifecycle management, and technical completion.

  • Validate and book orders/contracts from Sales & Tendering teams, ensuring compliance with documentation and approvals.

  • Create and manage SRM/PR flows for purchases and services.

  • Track project milestones and trigger accurate invoicing, supporting Finance and Credit teams.

  • Generate and share project reports: costs, forecasts, billing, timesheets, and progress tracking.

  • Collaborate with Project Managers to maintain billing accuracy and forecast alignment.

  • Control planned cost and revenue allocation across projects and services.

  • Provide SAP support to internal teams (timesheet setup, access, service billing).

  • Validate vendor invoices, ensuring proper allocation and processing.

  • Support maintenance contracts setup in GCS, including functional locations and equipment data.

  • Provide administrative and compliance support: documentation, travel bookings, and client liaison.


Who You Report To

You will report directly to the Delivery Manager, Process Automation, English Speaking Africa, while collaborating with cross-functional teams in operations, finance, engineering, and digital transformation.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering, Process Automation, Control Engineering, or related discipline. Equivalent industry experience considered.

  • Minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience in Oil & Gas, Engineering Services, or Process Automation.

  • Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2) is a strong advantage.


Skills & Capabilities

  • Proven SAP project and financial management expertise.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and reporting skills.

  • Skilled in stakeholder management across multiple teams.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Knowledge of process automation or industrial project environments preferred.

  • Familiarity with PMBOK, PRINCE2 or other structured methodologies.

  • Resilience and adaptability in fast-paced environments.

  • Strong time management and multitasking ability.

  • Technical aptitude for project execution in engineering contexts.
