Role Purpose

  • The Quality Assurance (QA) Manager is responsible for ensuring that Pullus products meet the highest standards of safety, freshness, and regulatory compliance across offtake, slaughtering, cold storage, packaging, and logistics.
  • The role develops and enforces Quality Management Systems (QMS), trains and supervises QA staff, and ensures strict adherence to SOPs and biosecurity protocols. The QA Manager safeguards customer trust and supports Pullus’ growth through uncompromising product quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise slaughtering and offtake processes, ensuring hygiene and compliance.
  • Monitor schedules and ensure large-volume offtakes meet QA standards.
  • Train Purchase Officers and Slaughter Men on SOPs and corrective actions
  • Supervise Cold Room Staff, ensuring strict temperature compliance, hygiene, and record-keeping.
  • Monitor shelf life, packaging, and sorting to reduce waste.
  • Inspect facilities daily to maintain storage quality and food safety compliance
  • Conduct quality checks before dispatch to customers.
  • Monitor product condition during delivery and enforce logistics QA SOPs.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain to ensure dispatch efficiency aligns with QA standards.
  • Develop, implement, and update SOPs across purchase, slaughter, cold storage, and logistics.
  • Lead audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance (NAFDAC, SON, Halal).
  • Act as HSE Monitoring Officer and maintain QA records for reporting.
  • Mentor QA Inspectors, Cold Room Staff, and Processing Hygiene Officers.
  • Build a culture of continuous quality improvement across all functions.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Animal Science, Microbiology, or related field.
  • 7–10 years’ QA experience in FMCG, poultry, or food production.
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, ISO, and food safety standards.
  • Proven leadership in managing cross-functional QA teams.
  • Excellent documentation, auditing, and training skills.
  • Familiarity with cold chain management strongly preferred.
