Job Description
- The Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring quality management systems to ensure compliance with healthcare standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
- The ideal candidate will play a key role in promoting continuous quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical excellence within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee the hospital’s Quality Management and Patient Safety programs.
- Conduct regular quality audits and risk assessments to ensure compliance with national and international healthcare standards.
- Monitor and evaluate clinical and non-clinical processes to improve service delivery.
- Analyze data and prepare quality performance reports for management review.
- Facilitate incident reporting, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
- Coordinate accreditation and certification processes.
- Provide training and support to staff on quality standards, safety, and best practices.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify and implement quality improvement initiatives.
- Promote a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous learning across all units.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS / MBChB) from a recognized institution.
- Must be a licensed medical practitioner with a valid practicing license from the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
- 5–7 years post-qualification experience, including at least 3 years in healthcare quality management, clinical governance, or hospital administration.
- Strong knowledge of clinical quality improvement frameworks, patient safety standards, and healthcare regulations.
- Experience with hospital accreditation systems (ISO, JCI, or COHSASA) is an added advantage.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive organizational change.
