Key Responsibilities
- Perform ultrasound and x-ray diagnostic procedures accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure high-quality imaging results while prioritizing patient safety and comfort.
- Interpret preliminary findings and collaborate with physicians and medical scientists.
- Maintain and calibrate radiologic and sonographic equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Keep detailed and accurate patient records in compliance with medical regulations.
- Adhere strictly to radiation safety protocols and Afrilab’s standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Assist in training or supervising interns or junior imaging staff when necessary.
Requirements
- A Degree or Diploma in Radiography / Medical Imaging Science from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience in a clinical setting.
- Valid license/certification from relevant regulatory bodies.
- Proficiency in both Ultrasound and X-ray imaging is essential.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient care and diagnostic accuracy.
- Familiarity with digital imaging systems (PACS/RIS) is an added advantage.
