About the Role
We are seeking a Research Analyst – Purchasing to strengthen our direct farmer engagement and strategic sourcing capabilities. This role involves in-depth market research, frequent travel across Nigeria, and cultivating strong supplier relationships to ensure a reliable and cost-effective agricultural supply chain.
Key Responsibilities

Identify and establish direct sourcing channels with farmers and agricultural cooperatives.

Conduct comprehensive market research and price analysis to optimize procurement strategies.

Travel regularly to agricultural regions to negotiate terms and build supplier networks.

Provide timely reports on market trends, supply chain efficiency, and risks.

Collaborate with internal teams to align sourcing strategies with business goals.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Male candidates only (requirement from employer).

2–3 years’ proven experience in research, sourcing, or supply chain roles—experience in agriculture-focused organizations (e.g., ThriveAgric, BabbanGona) is a strong advantage.

Demonstrated skills in market analysis, negotiation, and supplier relationship management.

Strong willingness and ability to travel extensively within Nigeria and engage directly with farmers.

Fluency in Hausa is essential.

Strong analytical and reporting skills; proficiency in data tools is a plus.
