About Lekki Freeport Terminal (LFT)

Lekki Freeport Terminal (LFT) is a container terminal operator at Lekki Deep Sea Port, Nigeria’s first true deep-sea port and one of West Africa’s most sophisticated maritime gateways. Situated in the Lagos Free Zone at Ibeju-Lekki, LFT is dedicated to connecting global trade to Nigeria sustainably, employing advanced technology and innovative practices from the moment ships arrive until cargo is delivered, all while adhering to international safety standards.

The terminal utilises deep water with a draught of up to 16.5 meters, along with modern ship-to-shore capabilities to accommodate large vessels and significant cargo volumes. It forms part of a port complex designed to handle millions of TEUs annually as it expands. This depth and associated infrastructure contribute to reducing logistics costs and alleviating congestion along the Lagos corridor, thereby positioning LFT as a catalyst for growth in regional trade.

As Nigeria’s newest gateway, LFT brings world-class port operations to the country, combining advanced equipment, data-driven processes, and a culture focused on innovation to ensure quicker, safer, and more dependable cargo flows for both shippers and shipping lines.
