Description
- Plan and oversee the safe and efficient loading, unloading, securing, and storage of cargo on vessels and offshore platforms.
- Coordinate marine logistics with vessel crews, rig personnel, and shore-based teams to ensure timely cargo movement.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, IMDG Code, and maritime/port authority requirements during all cargo operations.
- Inspect and maintain cargo handling equipment, lifting gear, and storage facilities in safe working condition.
- Supervise and train cargo handling personnel, ensuring competence in safe and efficient operations.
- Maintain accurate records of cargo manifests, inventories, and operational reports for management
Job Requirement
Educational Qualification:
- Candidates must have a minimum of HND in Nautical Science or Navigation in addition to a valid Class 3 Certificate of Competency/Officer of the Watch (OOW) in navigation from NIMASA or similar flag administrations and would have worked as chief mate or second mate on an FSO, FPSO or a sailing vessel.
- Minimum of 7/10 years
Experience Requirement:
- FSO/FPSO experience Marine/Cargo Supervisor on an FPSO or FSO for a minimum of three years
