About the Role
At Labs by Semicolon, we believe quality assurance begins at product discovery and continues through post-production. We’re seeking a Senior QA Engineer who is equally comfortable with manual and automated testing, and who can work closely with Product, Engineering, and Design teams to deliver exceptional software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate early with Product Managers and Designers during product discovery to understand requirements and define testable outcomes.
- Create, manage, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on user stories and product requirements.
- Perform manual testing for exploratory use cases and UI validation.
- Execute automated tests using tools like Selenium and Postman for regression and API testing.
- Report, track, and manage defects using tools like ClickUp, etc
- Validate fixes through re-testing and regression testing.
- Conduct post-deployment validation and monitor production releases for real-time issues.
- Assist in building a test automation framework for long-term scalability.
- Champion QA best practices across the SDLC within an Agile environment.

Must-Have Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years experience in software quality assurance, with a mix of manual and automation testing.
- Proficiency in Java, Selenium WebDriver, Postman,Karate and REST API testing.
- Experience writing and executing test cases for web and backend systems.
- Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and modern QA processes.
- Ability to identify risks, edge cases, and prioritize testing efforts.
- Experience with bug tracking systems like JIRA, ClickUp, or similar tools.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and collaborative skills.
- Have an understanding of the future of testing with AI solutions to optimise delivery and outcomes
Nice to Have
- Background or certification in Agile Testing.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and test integration.
- Familiarity with performance or load testing tools is a plus.
