Job Description
- We are looking for an experienced Service and Aftermarket Deputy Manager to support and drive efficient daily operations within our Lagos branch. If you’re highly organized, proactive, and skilled at coordinating technical teams and administrative processes, we’d love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management:
- Manage daily scheduling, dispatch, and execution of service tasks
- Supervise staff and ensure compliance with HSE & company regulations
- Optimize resource allocation (personnel, tools, equipment)
- Review FSRs, warranty claims, attendance sheets, and petty cash reports
- Oversee daily/weekly/monthly admin tasks
- Track quotations, orders, invoices, and related documents
Customer Relationship Management:
- Serve as a secondary point of contact for customers
- Communicate proactively on schedules, progress, and issues
Inventory & Spare Parts Management:
- Audit local inventory and supervise ordering/receiving/dispatch
- Oversee stock-takes and validate final reports
Administration & Reporting:
- Supervise documentation, record-keeping, and office operations
- Assist with labour contracts and HR matters
- Ensure compliance with policies, safety standards, and local regulations
- Submit weekly updates (schedule deviations, unexpected expenses)
- Deliver monthly reports (KPIs, major jobs, expenses, manpower rota, etc.)
Financial & Budget Support:
- Assist in preparing and managing the branch service budget
- Ensure timely processing of invoices and expenses
HSE Leadership:
- Promote a strong safety culture
- Enforce adherence to HSE best practices
- Conduct regular safety briefings
Continuous Improvement:
- Recommend improvements to workflows, processes, and data management
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field with 2+ years in a similar role & 3+ years in a supervisory/team lead position
- Basic technical understanding (hydraulics, electrical, mechanical)
- Experience managing admin and technical teams
- Strong communication & customer service skills
- Proficiency in service management software + MS Office 365
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability
- Valid Nigerian driver’s license
