About the Role
- We are seeking an experienced Storekeeper with a strong engineering background to manage our engineering and mechanical spare parts store in a leading food manufacturing plant.
- The ideal candidate must have at least 4 years of proven experience handling technical and mechanical spare parts, maintaining engineering inventory systems, and ensuring the timely availability of components required for maintenance and production operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, issue, and track spare parts and engineering materials for maintenance and production teams.
- Maintain accurate stock records and perform regular inventory reconciliations.
- Monitor inventory levels, initiate re-orders, and prevent stockouts.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of mechanical and electrical components.
- Maintain compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards and company safety policies.
- Work closely with the engineering and maintenance teams to ensure efficient parts availability.
- Prepare and update inventory reports, cost records, and usage summaries for management review.
Requirements
- OND / HND qualification / B.Sc Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related engineering discipline).
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience managing an engineering or mechanical parts store, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical spare parts and inventory management systems.
- Solid accounting knowledge with the ability to manage stock valuation and cost tracking.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and record-keeping skills.
- Must reside in Sagamu or nearby environs.
