Job Description

  • A travel sales and tours specialist plans, organizes, and sells travel packages to clients, providing personalized recommendations and ensuring a smooth travel experience.
  • They book accommodations, transportation, and tours; manage itineraries; and handle any travel-related issues.
  • Additionally, they may collect deposits, collect payments, and offer travel insurance options.

Key Responsibilities:

Planning and Designing Travel:

  • Collaborates with clients to understand their travel needs, preferences, and budget.
  • Develops customized travel itineraries, considering factors like destinations, activities, and transportation.
  • Researches and recommends suitable accommodations, tours, and activities based on client needs.

Booking and Management:

  • Books flights, hotels, transportation, and tour packages through various vendors.
  • Manages client itineraries, including reservations, payments, and cancellations.
  • Provides clients with travel documents, such as flight tickets, hotel confirmations, and visa information.

Customer Service and Sales:

  • Handles client inquiries, provides advice, and addresses any concerns or issues during the trip.
  • Promotes and sells travel packages and additional services, such as travel insurance.
  • Maintains strong relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction.

Professional Development:

  • Stays updated on industry trends, travel regulations, and new destinations.
  • May attend travel trade shows and workshops to enhance their knowledge and skills.

Airline Ticket Sales:

  • Meet profit and sales targets on a monthly basis
  • Book airline tickets, make hotel reservations and collect payment/fees through GIGM’s payment platforms
  • Ensure at least 20 ticket bookings are done with travelstart through the GIGM website in a week

Requirements

  • Interested candidates should possess relevant qualifications
  • At least 4 years of work experience.

Required Skills:

  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients and vendors.
  • Sales and Customer Service: Ability to effectively sell travel packages and provide excellent customer service.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to handle unexpected situations and resolve travel-related issues.
  • Organizational and Planning: Ability to manage multiple bookings, itineraries, and client requests.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with travel booking systems and software.
